The Science of Breathing

If you cannot attend live, you can still register for the workshop and the recording will be sent to you immediately after the event. Are we all breathing incorrectly? What is the connection between breath and emotions? When and how should we guide other people’s breathing? In this two-hour live, online workshop, we will explore those topics as well as: 1. The anatomy & physiology of the respiratory system including the role of the diaphragm 2. Ujjayi breathing and when to use it 3. Dysfunctional breathing and whether we should be concerned about it 4. Current research on the effects of pranayama and slow breathing 5. When and how we should cue breathing in both group and private sessions While this workshop is targeted at yoga teachers, anyone who practices yoga can benefit from attending. Weekly timetabled classes: You can cancel up to one hour before the session is due to begin without losing a class credit. In-person workshops: You will receive a 75% refund if we can sell your space onto someone else. Or, you may transfer your booking to someone else. Online workshops: After a 14-day cooling off period, no refunds are available. However, a recording of the workshop will be sent to you on request.
